Victorian Scottish antique silver “Mary” brooch, Inverness c.1875

A rare Victorian antique Scottish silver Luckenbooth or Mary brooch. Made in Inverness by Arthur Medlock circa 1875. This is a very ornate design of brooch with the central entwined hearts surmounted by a crown. This type of brooch originally made for Mary Queen of Scots as a present for her lover Lord Darnley. This one is in excellent condition and is a very collectible piece of silver.
