Victorian Scottish Highland Style Agate & Silver Ornate Brooch

Late 19th Century Victorian antique sterling silver and agates Scottish Highland style kilt brooch, with multiple inset bloodstone and jasper in various shapes and heights to give a slight 3D effect to the front, 48 pieces in all, the exposed silver in finished in a wigglework and dot pattern. The back is plain and slightly concave with original steel pin and a safety chain loop but no chain. Please do not be tempted to use the safety chain loop as a bale for a necklace chain, it was not intended for that purpose and will eventually snap off. Marked central on the back is a Registered Design Kite Mark, which in this case is the 20th March 1875, this is the date the design was registered.
