A very nice Victorian silver drum mustard pot with gadrooned rim and stepped foot. A nicely shaped handle and finished with a finely cast and attractive thumb rest. The cut out for the spoon is ornately shaped and the pot is fitted with a blue glass liner. Hallmarked to the base and inside the lid for London 1866, makers George John Richards & Edward Charles Brown. Also marked to the base with shape / model number 7442.
It measures 5.3cm (2 1/8") high to the rim, 7.6cm (3") to the thumb rest. 6.8cm (2 5/8") rim to rim and 9.2cm (3 5/8") rim to handle. It weighs 193g in total (111g / 3.6ozt silver weight).
