Victorian Silver Vase On Rams Head and Legs 1898

We have the real pleasure of being able to offer this very unusual Victorian German imported 930 silver 3 legged ornate antique vase. This rather unique silver repousse and chased vase is decorated with roses and is raised on three long hoofed legs terminating with rams heads to the body. The vase carries full English import marks for John George Smith, London 1898 along with the German 930 hallmarks. The vase is 5 & 1/2 inches high (14cm) and weighs a heavy 172g. It is in a very good antique condition with a very hand made arts and crafts feel. There are one or two tiny stress splits (See picture 6 at 11 o'clock) to the flared rim but it is hard to determine if this is through age or fabrication.
