Super ebony and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane. The pommel to the top is a beautifully grained tigers eye sphere. This is another cane from a large collection we've been selling over the last few months. The silver was assayed in Birmingham as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1886 and has the makers mark for W&F Rabone. The collar is decorated repousse work with PJ engraved onto a cartouche to the front. The shaft is ebony which has good weight and is strong enough to support a good weight. The silver is in excellent condition with no splits, holes or damage just some surface marks as you can see in the pictures. The ferrule is original and made of brass and steel. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
It measures 91.5 cm 36 inches in length, the pommel is 4.3 cm 1 11/16 inches wide.
