Lovely Victorian rosewood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane. The silver was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1889. The makers mark for W&G Neal of Clerkenwell, London. Lovely tagua nut pommel grown on the elephant plant and native to South America, above a silver collar decorated with basket weave patterns and silver collar work. Mounted on a rosewood shaft, a good weight and a stonge sturdy cane cane. The ferrule is made of brass. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
It measures 90 cm 35 1/2inches in length, the pommel is 5 cm 1 15/16 inches wide.

It's in excellent condition but with some signs of age and use as you'd expect at this age. Some surface marks to the silver as shown but no splits or repairs to the silver or the shaft, please see the pictures.
