Stunning ebony and hallmarked 9ct gold walking stick or cane. The pommel to the top is a beautifully grained amethyst ball. The gold was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1899 and makers mark for Henry Thomson of Upper Charles Street, Clerkenwell, London. The gold collar has a central cartouche engraved JS, around that the gold is beautifully decorated. The shaft is ebony so a good weight and strong. The gold is in excellent condition with no splits, holes or damage just some minor surface marks as you'd expect. The ferrule is made of brass. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
It measures 92.5 cm 36 3/8 inches in length, the pommel is 4.6 cm 1 13/16 inches wide.
