Vintage 18ct Gold Oval Sapphire & Diamond Triple Band Ring 1970s

This is a really fabulous vintage sapphire and diamond band ring hallmarked for 1979. This stunning ring has luxurious and quality feel to it. It is beautifully made and the design is quite unique with influences to my eye from the Victorian era through to the Art Deco era. The rich gold centre section is delineated and grain set with seven regal looking, oval facet cut sapphires. They are an excellent colour, a lovely deep blue and the yellow gold sets them off to perfection! The centre sapphire measures 4.5mm x 3mm, the next are 4mm x 3mm, then 3.5mm x 2.5mm and the smallest is 3mm x 2.5mm. Either side of the centre is a row of eleven 0.01ct brilliant cut diamonds pavé set in 18ct white gold. The setting is nice and smooth, very wearable with no catchy claws. The gallery of the ring has nice piercing which is an extra detail. The shoulders are engraved and lead to the plain polished 18ct yellow gold band.
