Vintage 18ct Gold & Platinum 0.40ct Diamond Trilogy Engagement Ring – Birmingham 1982 A beautifully designed vintage diamond trilogy ring, crafted in 18ct yellow gold and platinum and dating to 1982. The centre is set with three graduated brilliant-cut diamonds, the principal diamond measuring approximately 4mm and flanked by two smaller diamonds of approximately 2.7mm. Together they form a graceful trilogy, traditionally associated with a couple's past, present and future. What makes this ring particularly appealing is its unusual asymmetric platinum setting. Sweeping platinum shoulders curve elegantly around the diamonds and are further highlighted with delicate diamond accents, giving the ring a lovely sense of movement and sparkle. The diamonds have an estimated combined weight of approximately 0.40 carat, with an approximate colour of H/I and clarity of SI. They are bright, lively stones which show beautifully against the cool white platinum setting and warm yellow-gold shank.
