An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage 3.50 carat onyx, 0.13 carat emerald and 0.08 carat diamond, 18 karat yellow gold and platinum set cat brooch; part of our diverse vintage jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 18k yellow gold with platinum settings. The brooch has been modelled in the form of an illustrative winking cat. The eye of the cat is represented by an impressive collet set 0.13ct cabochon cut emerald, accented with a platinum eye brow design ornamented with four pavé set eight cut diamonds. The yellow gold body of the cat is embellished with an impressive collet set cabochon cut onyx. The surface of this vintage brooch bears details replicating the feline's fur and anatomical features, including a swept rounded tail, lower paws, pointed ears and applied wirework whiskers. This gemstone brooch secures to the underside with a hinged pin and push fit safety clasp. The impressive gold cat brooch is hallmarked to the reverse of the body with the maker's mark (SSS - Sannit and Stein)*, the gold guarantee mark (crown), the 18k gold fineness mark (18), London Assay Office hallmark (leopard head) and date letter for 1958 (C). This impressive emerald cat brooch in gold is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card.
