Vintage 4.70ct Black Opal & 1.08ct Diamond Platinum Cocktail Ring 1980

A stunning, fine and impressive vintage 4.70 carat black opal and 1.08 carat diamond, platinum dress ring; part of our opal jewellery collection. This stunning, fine and impressive vintage opal ring has been crafted in platinum. The pierced decorated, cluster design is ornamented with a feature 4.70ct cabochon cut opal panel, four claw set in relief to the centre. The opal is encompassed with a total of fourteen individually claw set diamonds, in a combination of marquise, pear and modern brilliant round cuts. The pierced decorated ring shoulders are each ornamented with a horizontal claw set marquise cut diamond, integrating with the main setting and blending seamlessly with the plain ring shank. The ring is hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the platinum fineness mark (pt900) and the carat weights of the opal (4.70) and diamonds (1.085). This vintage opal and diamond ring is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card.
