Vintage Black Painted Oak Console Table or Desk with Drawers & Stripped Oak Top

This is a versatile vintage console table dating to the late 20th century. Made of solid oak and mixed woods it is perfect for use in a hallway or lounge, or could possibly be used as a desk or dressing table. The table has a rectangular top and the front is fitted with an arrangement of five drawers which are all finished with attractive metal drop handles set on decorative back plates. The table is set on a stretchered base. I have hand painted this piece in my own mix of water based black paint before lightly distressing the paintwork and then finishing with clear wax for a smooth and fairly matt finish. The top has been stripped back to the natural oak and osmo-oiled for protection, it is quite light in colour and has a smooth, matt finish.
