Vintage 1966 Cabochon Amethyst Ring in 9ct Gold A striking vintage cabochon amethyst ring, crafted in substantial 9ct yellow gold and fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1966. The ring is set with an impressive oval cabochon amethyst measuring approximately 12.3mm by 9mm. The beautifully domed stone displays a rich, saturated purple colour, enlivened by flashes of violet and subtle blue as it catches the light. Smoothly collet set, the amethyst is framed by a simple polished gold border and broad, gently tapering shoulders.
