Vintage Cultured Pearl Necklace with Sterling Silver Clasp A beautifully elegant vintage cultured pearl necklace, dating to around the 1980s and completed by an attractive brushed sterling silver barrel-shaped clasp. The necklace is composed of evenly sized cultured pearls measuring approximately 5.5mm. The pearls have a lovely creamy ivory colour and attractive lustre, creating a soft and flattering appearance when worn. Each pearl has been individually hand knotted in the traditional manner, allowing the necklace to fall naturally and gracefully around the neckline. Measuring a generous 20½ inches (52cm) in length, the necklace is particularly versatile. It may be worn in the traditional way with the clasp discreetly positioned at the nape of the neck, or the attractive brushed silver clasp can be brought around to the side or front as a decorative feature. The understated barrel-shaped clasp has a softly textured finish and is fitted with a secure push-hook fastening. It is marked 925 for sterling silver and bears the maker's mark JKa.
