Vintage French 2.30ct Ceylon Sapphire and 1.60ct Diamond 18k White Gold Cluster Ring Circa 1950

A stunning, fine and impressive French 2.30 carat Ceylon sapphire and 1.60 carat diamond, 18 karat white gold and platinum set cluster ring; part of our sapphire jewelry collection. This stunning, fine and impressive vintage sapphire cluster ring has been crafted in 18k white gold with a platinum setting. The millegrain decorated mount displays an impressive collet set 2.30ct round faceted cut Ceylon blue sapphire to the centre of the design. The sapphire is encircled by twelve pavé set Old European round cut diamonds. The plain, broad ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the 18k white gold ring shank. This impressive vintage sapphire and diamond ring is hallmarked to the outer surface with the French mark for platinum (dog's head) and 18k gold (eagle's head); the multitude and arrangement of these hallmarks is consistent with the French weight system markings. The ring has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 karat gold and platinum.
