Vintage Hroar Prydz Norway Sterling Silver & Guilloche Enamel Butterfly Brooch / Pin c.1940

On offer is this vintage Norwegian butterfly brooch marked to the back Sterling 925S Norway and also bearing the mark for the excellent factory of Hroar Prydz. This vintage butterfly brooch dates circa 1940 and measures 3.3cm in width across the top wing span. The brooch is made of solid silver with gilt finish. The butterfly wings have beautiful colourful guilloche enamel and the segmented body and face is done in brown/black enamel. This butterfly brooch measures 37mm in width across the top wings and weighs 5.4g and is offered in very good condition with no damage to the guilloche enamel. The back has some normal age patina and the the brooch has a strong silver pin and secure barrel clasp. Thank you for looking.
