Description
A fine mid 20th-century Kuchan Kurdish rug from North Eastern Iran, handwoven in wool with a stepped central medallion design. The soft beige field is framed by spandrels with stylised motifs and enclosed within multiple rosette borders in warm terracotta, brown, and ivory tones.
This attractive and well-balanced composition reflects the distinct geometry and earthy palette characteristic of Kurdish weaving from the Quchan region. A versatile and decorative example, suitable for both classic and contemporary interiors.
