Description
Vintage silver Scottish Celtic Cross brooch which is a 4 armed cross set within a circle or in this case overlaid on a circle and set with a central purple paste stone securely held with 4 claws decorated to the front silver with a Celtic Knot pattern.
Not hallmarked which is a shame as the quality of the brooch is very good but stamped "silver", more than likely a Ward Brothers piece of jewellery from the 1950s / 1960s as the finish to the silver is typical of their techniques;
4cm or just over inch and a half either way, good pin and "C" catch, boxed.
