Description
A vintage Scottish Celtic circular silver ship brooch, made by Ward Brothers and fully hallmarked in Edinburgh in 1961, it is 3.5 cm or just under a inch and a half, has a good pin and a safety "C" catch. Decoration to the front is Celtic Knots, braided outer rim and circular bosses, the Clan Galley is illustrated under full sail and heading west, symbol of which is a journey to Tir nan Og and eternal life of the soul. Partially cleaned for it was very dirty when I received it.
