Description
This is an exceptional, fine and impressive, large vintage shell and 9 carat yellow gold cameo brooch depicting the Last Supper; part of our cameo jewellery collections.
This exceptional and large vintage brooch has been crafted in 9ct yellow gold.
The oval shaped frame is ornamented to the centre with an exceptional and finely carved shell cameo depicting the Last Supper.
The undulating millegrain decorated collet setting to the shell panel is encompassed with two rope twist decorated borders.
This vintage cameo brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and safety clasp fastening.
This vintage brooch is hallmarked to the rim with the 9 carat gold mark (9, 375), the Birmingham Assay Office mark (anchor) and the date letter for 1974 (Z).
This exceptional Last Supper cameo brooch in gold is a large example for its type.
