Description
Substantial sterling silver Viking long boat brooch made by S.S, who are, Shetland Jewellery or as it was then Shetland Silvercraft in Weisdale, Shetland, fully hallmarked in Edinburgh in 1968, well executed and in very good condition. 3.5 cm or just short of 1 1/2 inch and 2.5 cm or 1 inch high. Good pin and good safety "C" catch; it has that good full surface tone that I personally think is better than bright silver but easily polished to brightness.
Partially cleaned but not polished.
