Description
An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare pair of vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver gilt candlesticks; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection.
These exceptional and rare vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver gilt candlesticks have a circular baluster shaped form onto three legs.
The baluster shaped capitals to these vintage candlesticks are each embellished with impressive leaf ornamentation to the bulbous portion.
Each capital retains the original hallmarked circular sconce, embellished with a band of gadroon decoration to the rim.
The capitals are each supported by an impressive column embellished with further leaf decoration to the lower portion, in addition to vertical ribbed decoration.
Each column surmounts three impressive and substantial ribbed legs, embellished with a large foliate design to the upper portion and terminating with impressive lion mask and paw style feet.
These exceptional and rare vintage candlesticks retain the original gilding.
