Vintage Suede Vanity Case Powder Compact Carryall Purse Circa 1950

On offer is this vintage circa 1950 vanity purse with wristlet measuring 17 cm by 12 cm and with the attached bale and wristlet adding a further 15 cm to the overall length. The case is made of gold tone metal with black suede back. The front has pleated black suede with elaborate chased gold tone metal sides. There is a large rope twist bale at the top of the purse with attached matching black suede wristlet. The case has push down catch and has firm hinge. The case opens to reveal a gold tone and red suede interior. Under the lid is a framed bevelled glass mirror and on the frame beneath the mirror is a hinged holder for a comb. The comb is not present. In the base are various compartments, two open and two with hinged doors. The larger hinged door compartment is empty and the other has the original sifter and puff.
