Vintage Ten Button Accordion

A great, working vintage accordion in good playable condition and is ready for it’s next ceilidh. The bellows are airtight and there are no sticking reeds. All the notes have reverb and each key operates 3 harmonious reeds to give a rich chord-like sound while the base valves produce a glorious deep tone that might be expected from larger instruments. Despite it having no case it is in remarkable condition, it has all its metal plates and protective corner pieces while the decorative silver scroll details are bright and undamaged, when extended the bellows are decorated with a pretty, ditsy floral pattern. The leather straps and thinning varnish around some buttons testify to the many lively tunes that may have been played (see detailed photo). It bears the ‘National Band’ logo and is marked ‘Made in Saxony, de Luxe Model’. Either as a working instrument or as a piece of décor, it certainly is an interesting piece of musical heritage.
