Vintage Triple-strand Cultured Pearl Bracelet with 9ct Gold Floral Clasp Birmingham 1975

This gorgeous vintage cultured pearl bracelet dates from 1975 and combines the timeless elegance of pearls with a beautifully decorative 9ct gold flower clasp. The bracelet is formed from three rows of cultured pearls, with 24 pearls in each strand. Four polished 9ct gold spacer bars keep the rows neatly arranged and allow the bracelet to sit comfortably and attractively across the wrist. The creamy ivory pearls have soft silvery overtones and a good natural lustre. They are smooth and evenly coloured, although the pearls forming the flower clasp are very slightly more silver in tone. The focal point is the delightful flower-shaped clasp. A larger central cultured pearl is surrounded by smaller pearls to create a wonderfully feminine floral design. The reverse is fully hallmarked for 9 carat gold at the Birmingham Assay Office in 1975 and bears the maker’s initials AJ. A secure box fastening with an additional hook holds the bracelet safely in place. At 7 inches long and weighing a substantial 35 grams, it feels beautifully made while remaining comfortable to wear.
