Description
Super ebony topped partridge wood shaft and hallmarked 9ct gold walking stick or cane. Set off beautifully by the turned ebony pommel which compliments the gold collar and the dark shades in the partridge wood Perfectly. The gold is decorated with the initials Ig engraved to the cartouche to the front. The gold was assayed London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1918 and makers mark for Benjamin Jacobs. The ferrule is original and made of brass and steel, hasn't had much wear as you can see. Please contact us with any questions you may have.

It measures 92 cm 36 1/4 inches in length, the pommel is 3.8 cm 1 7/16 inches wide and 6.8 cm 2 5/8 inches long.

condition

It's in excellent condition but with some signs of age and use as you'd expect at this age. Visible seam line as shown, quite normal in gold at this period. Very slight bow to the shaft, common in a fibrous wood like this when over 100 years old. Still strong and will support a good weight.
