Lovely partridge wood and hallmarked silver ladies walking stick or cane. Lovely handle in the form of a duck with pretty green eyes. Super detail as you can see in the pictures. The eyes are I suspect glass, they are however facet cut to make them look like gem stones. The silver was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1899 and makers mark for Julius Klinkhard, cane and stick makers of Chandos Street, London. The collar is hallmarked but very worn. Lovely decoration to the silver top. The ferrule is original and made of polished deer antler. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
It measures 84.5 cm 33 1/4 inches in length, the duck is 5.5 cm 2 1/8 inches wide.
