Wall Clock: Fabulous 1920 German 10” Dial Timepiece by W&H

Fabulous and scarce, All Original vintage 10” dial timepiece by Winterhalder & Hofmeier of Schwarzenbach, Germany, one of the great European clockmakers of the day. The clocks hand-turned roundhead face with boxed cabinet are made of Walnut and have excellent patination with a turn-catch hinged regulator door located at the bottom of the box. The clocks metal dial has black Roman numerals and the Goldsmiths Company details of Regent Street, London, indicating that the clock was commissioned by this famous old company to hang in their related retail outlets or offices. The dial is then finished with its original pair of blued Spade hands, secured with a pinned collet, and protected by a thick glaze mounted in a brass bezel. The quality 8-day Winterhalder & Hofmeier single going barrel pendulum driven movement, is stamped on the backplate with the famous “W&H Sch” trademark and comes with its original pendulum and a period authentic winding key.
