Warings & Gillow Mahogany Chest of Drawers

The Warings & Gillow Mahogany Chest of Drawers is an antique piece from the early 19th century, featuring a classic Regency style design. The chest has 2 short over 3 long graduating drawers, made from mahogany, all slide freely, the locks are all in place, no keys, the original heavy brass handles could have gilt gold on them, they have their original round nuts. Under the top drawer is a pencil signature - is this from the maker even possibly Waring or Gillow, that is something we will never know, on the back of the chest is a brass name plaque, confirming the makers. This chest of drawers is a stunning example of their craftsmanship. It has lasted many lifetimes and will last many more getting better with age, in looks and as a family heirloom.
