The watch has a Le Phare 114VCC movement which is working nicely. This was a good quality movement that was used in chronographs used in World War 1 by US and German pilots.
The chronograph measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver and there are Continental hallmarks inside both of the case backs. The case is in good condition, as is the acrylic lens.
The dial is signed with the name Cronometro “Fix”. The trade name “Fix” was registered by Fabrique de Bijouterie Savard & Cie in 1905. They would have bought the Le Phare movement in, assembled it into a watch for onward sale to a retailer.
The dial is also signed with the original retailer’s name, ‘Trust Joyero’, believed to be El Trust Joyero, the luxury Spanish watch and jewellery store.
The chronograph is started, stopped and re-set by way of the mono pusher on the crown.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
All prices include UK postage (excluding Northern Ireland).
