Description
The watch has a high quality 19-jewel Riverside Maximus grade movement which is working nicely. The movement has screw set jewels with gold settings, a Breguet hairspring and a Church 1892 patent regulator. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 14,150,420 which dates it back to 1904. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 34.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1914 with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison, a Birmingham based manufacturer for Waltham UK. The case is in good condition, just a little unevenness to the back of the watch.
There is a date discrepancy between the case and the movement however there is no sign at all of the movement being a replacement so either Waltham used earlier movements from stock, or the movement has been replaced with the same grade of movement so it is exactly as it would have been.
The lens has light marking but very acceptable.
The signed dial is in good condition, just a light scratch beneath number 2.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
