Watch: Gents 9ct Gold Omega Geneve Wrist Watch 1976

UK POSTAGE ONLY FOR THIS ITEM The watch has a 17-jewel calibre 1030 hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega logo and name, and it has the serial number 35,784,275 which dates it back to 1972. The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the signed Omega winding crown and lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1976, together with the Omega logo and the OWC initials for Omega Watch Company. The back of the watch has a long service inscription from James Mackie & Sons, Belfast based manufacturers of textile machinery. The company was owned by the Mackie family until the early 1970s when the family gave the company to the employees to be run as a workers’ co-operative. The company closed in 1999. The case is in good condition, just light surface marks but nothing serious at all. The lens is in lovely condition. The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and quickset date set at first position. A new leather strap has been fitted. The buckle has the Omega logo although it may be a later fitting. The watch comes in its Omega presentation box and outer box, and it is complete with the ‘You and your Omega’ leaflet, and also the original International Guarantee which confirms the serial number as the one on the movement.
