The watch has a good quality 15-jewel hand-winding movement, grade 519, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 3,7709,539 which dates it back to 1938.
The watch measures 25mm wide excluding the winding crown, and 30mm high excluding the lugs. It was originally designed as a man’s watch but, with today’s fashions, could also be worn by a lady. The case is gold filled and was made for Elgin by the Roy Watch Case Company. The inside of the case back is stamped Cased and Stamped by Elgin International Watch Co. The case is in lovely condition, as is the glass lens.
The signed dial is in its original finish, which is in lovely condition.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
All prices include UK postage (excluding Northern Ireland).
