Watch: Gents Enicar Star Jewels Wrist Watch

The watch has a 17-jewel Enicar 1141 hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Enicar Watch Co and also Star Jewels. The Star Jewels range comprised a range of manual and automatic watches produced in the 1960s and 1970s, in a range of different case and dial designs. The watch measures 34.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and lugs. The case is gold plated with a stainless steel screw-on case back. It is in good condition with just a minor mark to the top right lug. The case is the Ocean Pearl model from Enicar, originally marketed as being waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture. The lens is in super condition (some natural white reflection showing in the photos). The dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and a date display (the watch has an early form of quickset date where the hands are moved repeatedly backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 8pm until the desired date is reached). Some slight discolouration to the dial. A later leather strap has been fitted. The watch comes in a new presentation box. All prices include UK postage (excluding Northern Ireland).
