UK POSTAGE ONLY FOR THIS ITEM
Gents 1970s Fortis Panavision 6251 wrist watch, a rare example with original bracelet, all in original condition.
The watch has an automatic movement which is working nicely.
The watch measures 38mm wide excluding the original signed Fortis winding crown and 38mm high. The case is stainless steel and it is in very nice condition, just light surface marking to the back, nothing serious at all. The back of the watch is signed Fortis, and it has the model number 6251. The case back also states that the watch has Incabloc shockproofing and it states that the watch is water resistant but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.
The lens is in beautiful condition (some reflection showing in the photos).
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds and day (German) and date. The day is set by winding the hands forwards, the date is set by pressing the winding crown.
The watch comes on its original NSA stainless steel strap for Fortis. Novavit SA manufactured bracelets for many high end watch manufacturers in the 1960s through to the early 1990s. The strap is a standard 6” strap (NSA’s standard size) and it fits a 17cm wrist. The bracelet has the two piece square clasp signed with the Fortis logo. The strap is in lovely condition.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
All prices include UK postage (excluding Northern Ireland).
Please contact us before placing international orders so that we can advise of shipping prices and to see if customs regulations allow us to post watches to your country. The international buyer is responsible for paying any import duties and taxes.
All of our watches are checked over before listing and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
