Watch : Gents Tissot Seastar Wrist Watch, 1972

The watch has a calibre 784-2 21-jewel automatic movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 14,235,355 which dates it back to 1972. The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the signed Tissot winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated while the screw-on case back is stainless steel. The lens is in good condition. The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds sweep and date display… this is an early form of quickset date where you click the date over by winding the hands forwards to midnight, and then backwards to 9.30pm, and then forwards again… keep repeating until you reach the desired date.
