The watch has a 7 jewel grade 462 hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 23,639,632 which dates it back to 1921. The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is gold filled and the inside of the back cover has the maker’s mark B&B for Bates & Bacon, suppliers of cases to Elgin. The case is in lovely condition, just a hint of gentle unevenness to the hinged back. The lens is in lovely condition. The signed dial is in lovely condition, just a short hairline underneath the subsidiary seconds dial. Original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. The watch has a vintage leather strap which is in lovely condition. The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from a Birmingham jeweller.
