William IV Mahogany Leather-top Lamp Table, c.1830

P071 Fine quality 19th Century (circa 1830) English William IV antique mahogany lamp or occasional table with circular top is inset with dark blue tooled leather, raised on a slender turned and carved column, terminating in a circular moulded base with three shaped, downswept feet. The table retains its original finish, which has been sympathetically cleaned and waxed to reveal a mellow, rich colour and natural patina consistent with age. It comes from a private home where it has been very well cared for over the years. This versatile form works beautifully as a lamp table or side table beside a sofa or armchair. Good antique condition. Woodworm and wobble free. Solid and sturdy throughout. Retains original finish and mellow patina. Ready for home.
