A scarce and highly collectable 17 jewel braille wristwatch, by world-renown luxury watchmaking brand Henry Moser & Cie. (A brand name owned by the famous ‘Moser Schaffhausen Ag’ watchmaking firm, of Le Locle, Switzerland). The watch is of particular interest to collectors and the blind, because its sophisticated movement incorporates the patented "Incabloc Shock Protection System", invented in 1934, by celebrated Swiss engineers, Georges Braunschweig and Fritz Marti...A system that helps to alleviate any effects on the balance wheel, caused by sudden shock to the watch. The watch has a steel chrome plated case, with a side button that enables the watches bezel to be flipped open, allowing the blind to ‘read’ the time by tracing the braille dots on the dial with their fingers and strong gold hands The watch has a white enamelled Moser signed dial, with Arabic numerals and upraised dots, and comes with a chrome plated flexible steel strap (allowing ease of application for the blind, when either putting on, or taking off, the watch from their wrists.
