Antoine Bouvard - Artist

Antoine Bouvard was born in 1870 in Saint-Étienne and studied the Beaux Arts courses there where he began copying the old Masters. His style was influenced by both the Brabizon School and the Art Nouveau. He used the pseudonym Pelletier as well as others mainly for commercial reasons. Bouvard is most closely associated with painting Venice but here we see an earlier work that perfectly represents his craft and ability.
