Charles Thorneloe, of Tamworth Street, Lichfield. Born c1802 in Lichfield, Thorneloe spent his entire life in and around the historic old city. Such was enviable reputation for high-quality, that he was known throughout the country. His wife Sarah (who was 11 years his senior), was the company accountant and between the pair, they ran a very successful business with 10 employees. In 1850, Thorneloe became a Lichfield City Councillor.
