Edith Granger-Taylor - Artist

Edith Granger-Taylor was born in Grassington, Yorkshire. From an early age, she displayed a talent for painting and went on to study at several prestigious art schools. In 1910, she attended the Royal Academy Schools for a term and later studied at St. John's Wood Art School. In 1919, she enrolled at the Slade School of Fine Art, where her skill with pastel was praised by Henry Tonks among others. This medium, along with crayon , became her primary mode of artistic expression. Throughout the 1920s and 1930s, Granger-Taylor exhibited her works frequently. She also held solo exhibitions at the Grosvenor Galleries in 1922 and the Beaux Arts Gallery in 1932.
