Henry Martin Pope was an exceptional 19th century Midlands artist who exhibited widely later he founded the Birmingham Arts Circle whose elite members included Walter Langley, Edwin Harris, William Banks Fortescue, in particular, he and Langley were good friends and often visited Newlyn, Cornwall, U.K together.
Henry Martin Pope is a highly regarded artist whose works are displayed in many museums and public galleries, including the Birmingham Museums Trust, Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, Y Gaer Museum and Art Gallery, and Dudley Museum.
