René-Charles Masse - Sculptor

René-Charles Masse was a French sculptor and medallist who was born in 1855. Active during the late 19th and early 20th centuries (Belle Époque and Art Nouveau periods), he specialized in highly detailed small-scale sculptures, portrait medallions, and busts. Masse's work is celebrated for its classical influence, realism, and elegance. He primarily worked in bronze, terracotta, and spelter. He died in 1913.
