William Walls - Artist

William Walls (1860–1942) was a Scottish Artist who was Associate of the Royal Scottish Academy (ARSA) in 1901 and a full member (RSA) in 1919. He was a celebrated painter known primarily for his landscapes and animal subjects. He is particularly noted for his meticulous paintings of animals, which he studied at the London and Antwerp Zoos.

Legacy: He was a key figure in the formation of the Edinburgh Zoological Garden and a respected teacher at the Edinburgh College of Art.
