The first octavo edition & the complete set of three volumes bound into six parts, hardbacks bound in 18th century full leather bindings, all six books have a duplicate frontis engraving of the author.

Elder Books & Collectables has clarified that the 1705 History of The Rebellion & Civil Wars in England by Earl of Clarendon (LA403058) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1705-1706
condition
Some chips at top & bottom of spines, two books have had some restoration to front outer hinges, several boards with some scuffs to leather, gilt decoration rubbed to spines, corners bumped, occasional light browning or spots of foxing, couple of books with some minor marginal staining.
Overall the condition is very good with all boards firmly attached.
