Complete set in twelve volumes
Hardbacks bound in 19th Century full red Morocco leather bindings, Scottish Thistle design to spines with all front and rear boards decorated with gilt borders, illustrated title page to all twelve volumes and page edges gilt.

Elder Books & Collectables has clarified that the 1821 Tales & Novels of Walter Scott 12 x Volume Set Scottish Leather Bindings (LA527535) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1821-1822
condition
Some very minor rubbing, minor scuff or minor mark to leather covers, some corners bumped, approx three books with front blank endpaper pasted to inner front board, all endpapers and illustrated title pages are foxed or browned with some offsetting from title pages [see image for example] occasional foxing to text pages mostly to first & last few pages, inscription to front endpaper of volume 1.
Externally the set is in lovely condition with gilt bright & no cracked hinges, internally the books are good-very good.
