The Works of Charles Dickens Published by Chapman & Hall, London 1874-1876 The Illustrated Library Edition & Complete in Thirty Volumes Hardbacks bound in late 19th Century half leather bindings with marbled boards, endpapers and page edges, numerous illustrations that are full page or among text, majority of books with frontis plates & several with an extra illustrated title page, illustrations are by cruickshank, stone, browne etc. Each book measures approx 9" x 6 inches and spans over 4ft of shelf space.

Some very minor rubbing or minor scuff to leather, very occasional minor foxing or minor crease to pages or endpapers, private bookplate to inner front boards. Overall a superb set in excellent condition with no chipping to spines or cracking to hinges, gilt to spines very bright & even & mostly clean internally. Heavy books {weight over thirty kilograms}.
