18th Century Double Series Air Twist Wine Glass c.1750

Stunning 18th Century antique air twist wine glass. It has a large bell bowl above a double series air twist stem, consisting of a pair of spiral threads outside a cable. It stands on a conical foot. In the 18th century, the double series air twist has a ratio of approx 1-10 compared to the single series, the opposite being true for the opaque twist where the single series is the rarer form.
