18th Century Dutch Brass Tobacco Figures & Buildings 1779

For sale is this attractive 18th Century Dutch brass tobacco box. It is oval in shape and has the date of 1779 engraved in the top lid as well as the initials ''I.C.''. The top and bottom are both engraved with a man and a woman (presumably husband and wife) as well as architectural elements, and writings in Dutch. The box is about 5 inches wide and 3 inches deep. It is in overall good condition however with a crushed corner on the underside which has created a small hole in the seam of the brass. Minor wear and tear throughout from polishing and handling over time. Total weight of this collectable antique is 152 grams. Shipping will be free within the UK.
